“Camping in the Heart of the City” Community Playdate: (1 day vacation bible school)

On Wednesday, November 11, 2009, First Christian Church will hold a ‘Community Playdate’, a 1 day vacation bible school. We will be “Camping in the Heart of the City”, with a focus on nature in the Pacific Northwest. There are two sessions: 9:00 am-Noon and 1:00 pm-4:00 pm. Lunch is from Noon-1:00 pm. Animals of the Bible Advent Calendar Raffle

Want to win a beautiful handmade Advent calendar? For $10 you have a chance to win! The calendar has painstakingly been made by church members, each animal is listed in the Bible (and the even tell you where), and the animals are adorable. The proceeds of the raffle tickets will go to the purchase of stools, potty chairs, booster seats, and highchairs. The winner will be announced Monday, November 24, 2009. Extended Session-Both Services
The children will have their annual Halloween party during both Extended Sessions, with a parade during the Sunday School hour. Be sure to dress your children in their Halloween attire. There will be prizes awarded for their costumes. Come for a fun and memorable experience.

It is a time to get back on track…after transitions, after development, after all the changes…where is God calling us to be in these ministries?
Friday, May 29 beginning at 6:00 pm we will hold a “Family Meeting” in the Multipurpose Room. Faciliated by Cathy Myers Wirt, this event’s objectives are to acknowledge where we have been with these ministries; allow a space for families to share; give families an opportunity to share what they are looking for from the church; and much more.
